Mixed by Slee
I started DJing in the mid-nineties when i was living in Los Angeles. Inspired by the DJ's at late night warehouse parties, I scraped up enough money for a couple of 1200's and taught myself how to beat match and mix breakbeats. Unfortunately, none of those early Acid Breaks mixes (done on cassette) survived.
By 1998 I had upgraded to a DAT recorder/CD burner setup and I produced a House/Tech House Mix called Slee'swax. There were some lags but for almost 2 decades I produced a mix a year. There is a slight diversion into Techno/Mininal in the mid 2000’s, but otherwise I stuck with Tech House. With the rise of Beatport and me moving to Santa Cruz (no more DJ record stores), I started using NI Traktor with a S4 on a Mac laptop for the mixes.
